The Art Connection's Donation and Placement Program

The Art Donation and Placement Program for The Art Connection encompasses a range of ongoing activities. The process, driven by our mission, includes:

Artist Click for Inspiration Outreach
Identify artists and collectors willing and able to donate art and enlist art donors to participate in program.

Agency Outreach
Find qualified, interested agencies in need of original art for their program participants and staff.

Art Placement
Prepare agencies for the responsibilities of owning original art (site visit) and help agencies select appropriate art for their staff and program participants (placement visit). This step also includes confirming artwork availability, the creation of plaques and deeds of ownership for each artwork placed, and informing recipients about their responsibilities.

Post-Placement
This is a critical "hand holding" stage to ensure a successful three-way collaboration between artists, agency, and The Art Connection. It involves a variety of communication efforts and channels (letters, emails, phone calls). The agencies must also follow through with picking up artwork, as well as framing and installation.
